The What & Why

This first session discusses the four main reasons to adopt a plant-based lifestyle:

  • Individual health 

  • Planetary health

  • Alleviating world hunger

  • Compassionate & ethical treatment of animals

First Steps

Your First Steps debunks some myths about vegan diets, simplifies the steps to take to fully adopt a plant-based diet, offers plant-based substitutions for some animal-based foods, and provides well-researched websites, books and other resources to assist in transitioning to a new diet.

Tips & Tools
 

Tips and Tools provides useful easy-to-use apps, information for stocking a plant-based pantry, and simple meal planning ideas for whole-food plant-based diets. This talk even sets a challenge for participants to plan some plant-based meals.

Moving Forward-
Obstacles & Tips

This last session, Moving Forward, discusses obstacles that some people might encounter in transitioning to a plant-based diet. Tips for overcoming common obstacles are given. These down-to-earth ideas are given to provide support to people on their plant-based journeys.
